Friends

Today Hannah and I got together with some of our friends for lunch. It was a great time for both of us. It seems like all of my friends have BOYS! It's so much fun because we talk about how they are all Hannah's boyfriends and one day she's going to have a great guy to choose from. haha. Here are some pictures of the little hunks.

None of the pictures of Hannah from today turned out. Bummer. Come back after the weekend and we'll have plenty of updated pictures!

Zoo!

We always tease our parents about how deprived we were when we were kids. Don't you know every kid says their parents NEVER let them.....or NEVER took them to.... whatever. As kids, we are never satisfied. Well, today I realized how deprived I really was. Today was my first trip to the zoo EVER!!! Can you believe I'm 26 years old and I've only seen zebras, elephants and monkeys on TV! Seriously!?

This morning Hannah and I got ready and met Christie, Carter, London and Marley at the zoo. They have a zoo membership and go regularly, but now that I'm off during the week, I tagged along. I was so glad I did!

Carter and London of course enjoyed every exhibit and I felt like I was right along beside them. Carter had to tell me what some of the animals were. He's only 5!

Although it started getting a little hot towards the end, we had a blast. And Hannah actually stayed awake and was looking around a lot. It was a great start to a new week!

Tears

So, It's become a joke among our friends that Wes and I do not have tear ducts and that Hannah was going to be born without tear ducts. We just aren't criers. Neither one of us...and luckily, neither is Hannah. However, she certainly DOES have them and that proved be true when we got her two month shots. Mommy also discovered hers were still in working order as well. haha. Sad day.
Anyway, ever since we've had Hannah I've become so much more of a crier. Today, while driving to my sister's house for lunch this song came on the radio. I lost it. It made me happy, sad and just overall emotional. Hannah is already almost 4 months old. How in the world does time go by so fast? It really is true that we're going to wake up one day and it's going to be Hannah's wedding day.

Some would probably say it's my hormones, but I'm convinced that this little girl has forever changed me. Maybe it's because I now fully understand the love that parents have for their children, which reminds me of the love that our Father has for me.

Or maybe it's because when Wes looks at Hannah I see the love that pours out through his smile. Or how Hannah already adores her daddy so much.

And maybe it's just because I'm so incredibly thankful, grateful and blessed with the life that God has chosen for me.

For whatever reason, I don't mind it. It's good to cry every now and then, especially for all of these reasons. I love my sweet family.

Photo Shoot

Who is the cutest baby you've ever seen? Hannah, of course!
After being in our jammies all day, daddy got home from work and we decided to dress up for a few pictures.

We're still playing with the camera and back drops to get that "professional" look. It will come...she might be 3 years old, but we'll figure it out!

Other great news! My sewing adventure has taken off. I've been a sewing machine the past few days and I conquered the flower bow that I was attempting. Pictures of Hannah sporting the new bow will be up soon!

Heart Attack anyone?

So, this weekend Wes and I went to Midnight Madness at our church. We've been teaching 11th graders all year and now we're promoting with them as they start their senior year. Midnight Madness is basically a meeting for all teachers to get informed for what the school year holds. Then, tonight we are helping host a couples wedding shower for some friends of ours. My job was to bring desserts to both of these things, so I made sopapilla cheesecakes. Seriously, this has got to be the most unhealthiest thing, ever! It's basically just sugar and butter....a heart attack waiting to happen, but apparently really yummy. I'm not a sweet eater, so I have to rely on the opinion of everyone else.

Saturday night Wes went to the Ranger's game with Justin and Carter. They had a lot of fun hanging with the boys, and check out their awesome seats!

Christie and I stayed and went and ate at Potpourri House and shopped with the little girls. We're good at that, so that's what we usually stick with. haha.

Roly Poly

Hannah is our new little roly poly! This week she learned how to roll from her stomach to her back, and we don't think it will be long before she rolls from her back to her tummy. We are so proud of our growing girl, but it's happening too fast!!

My sweet friend Kristin made this AWESOME painting for Hannah's room and gave it to me this week. Isn't it the cutest thing, ever!? She is so talented and it matches Hannah's room perfectly!
I also got this in the mail this week from my mom. It's the cutest little dress for Hannah. She also made Marley and London matching ones. And of course, is any outfit complete without a matching bow? Don't think so!

My next project is to start making the bow above. It requires a sewing machine, so that could be dangerous.

And since everyone really only stops by my blog to see pictures of one special little girl...here she is!

Fun Weekend!

Friday was me and Wesley's 5 year anniversary. We went to dinner on Friday night and enjoyed some steaks and chicken. It was delish, but I felt a little guilty when we got our ticket. Is any meal really worth $75?! Oh well....it was fun to get all dressed up and enjoy a date night.
Saturday Hannah and I ran lots of errands while Wesley got his "toy" ready to sell. His initial intention was to fix this up and make it a really cool off-road vehicle. As you can see...that never happened! Anyone need a cash for clunker vehicle?! haha.

Saturday evening we headed to the lake. The weather was so nice and Hannah loved it!

5 Years!

Wow, Wes and I have been married 5 years today. It has truly been the best 5 years, ever! Wes is such an easy man to be married to and I just fall more and more in love with him all the time. Really, I do! Lots of people say that marriage is hard, and it takes work, but honestly, loving Wes is so easy. He's the perfect person for me and I'm so fortunate to have him. So, enough of the mush. Here are some pictures of that lovely day 5 years ago....

Sad, but these are some of the only pictures I have on our computer from our wedding. I actually got married before it was so common to put pictures on a CD (really?!). So, these are all just snapshots that were taken. I've never taken the time to scan all my wedding pictures to our computer.

Here is a picture of us in San Antonio on our first anniversary. We look like babies, and I'm pretty sure Wesley doesn't have as much hair - ha!

Over the past few years we've celebrated our anniversaries in San Antonio, Dallas, Houston and Broken Bow. This year we are celebrating at Keipersol (which is a bed and breakfast/winery/restaurant here in Tyler. We're going to the restaurant part to enjoy a FABULOUS meal. Can't wait to spend time with my sweetie. I love you, Wes!!

Lots of Pictures

This weekend we went to my parents' house to FINALLY meet our sweet nephew, Grayson. He's ADORABLE! We had lots of fun taking LOTS of pictures. Also, the guys (and London) enjoyed going to the river to ski, wakeboard and tube, while the girls stayed back to take care of the babies and catch up on some girl time. And the best part about going to Granna and Pawpaw Jerry's? The FOOD! Steaks, ribs, brisket and spaghetti. Can't beat that!!
