Swim lessons

Hannah took her second year of swim lessons this year.  She did so good and amazed me again this year.  I'm so thankful for Miss Korrine.  She's so sweet and somehow gets Hannah to listen to her, which has resulted in a great little swimmer. 

We have a pool membership at a local pool and I'm so thankful.  Hannah has been doing so great! She jumps off the diving board in the deep end and swims to the ladder.  I'm so proud of her and I feel so much better having at least one child that can swim!

Ethan on the other hand, he's fearless, but can't swim. He will be in swim lessons next summer for sure!

Movie time

One of our local movie theaters has had $1 movie days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  This week they showed Curious George and I knew the kids would love it.  We watch Curious George at home and Ethan loves it and makes monkey noises while watching it. 

Christie, Carter and London met us there, along with my bestie, Ashley and her two girls.  It was Ethan and Lauren's first experience at the movies.

They all did so good! Ethan just starred at the screen and never moved.

Hannah giggled the entire movie. It was so cute.

We will definitely be going back soon! 

Blueberry Pickin'

A couple of weeks ago Jenn mentioned heading to a nearby blueberry farm to pick blueberries.  I thought it sounded so fun and something that the kids would really enjoy.  Hannah loves blueberries, too!

Hannah loved it.  Ethan enjoyed climbing on the tractors, gold carts and 4 wheelers that they had on the farm. I'm pretty sure that was not an activity he was supposed to be doing, but that was the only place he was happy!  He did stop to pick a few blueberries, but he thought his bucket was a hat. 

Along with Jenn and Andrew, our other cousins came along, too.  Hannah loved having Marley there!

Looking for trouble.

We had such a fun time! The blackberries weren't quite ripe so we are going to have to go back soon to pick some of those.  

After we picked berries we headed to "The Shed" - with 7 adults and about 20 kids.  It went amazingly well and the food was super yummy!  It was a fun (hot) outing with the kiddos! 

Discovery Science

This morning the kids and I headed to Discovery Science Place.  It was so much fun!! I always enjoy when we have friends come with us, but I also enjoy just being with the kids alone sometimes, too!

Our first stop was the grocery department.  This is one of Hannah's favorites.

Ethan's favorite thing was probably the fire station.  Which this is funny to me because for the 3 years we have been going to this place, Hannah has never showed much interest in this center, but Ethan darted for the steering wheel and put on the hat and went to town.

They both loved the building blocks.  Ethan sat IN the table and he wouldn't stop what he was doing to look at the camera.

After Discovery Science we headed to the park to eat lunch with daddy.  I didn't get any pictures except of Wes hanging from a spinning wheel.  I figured I wouldn't embarrass him and just keep that picture on my phone.

We have been busy this summer and it's only June 10!  We started VBS today and I saw so many cute pictures of other kids on Facebook today in their VBS t-shirts and we were lucky to make it there 5 minutes late, so I don't have a cute picture - maybe tomorrow!!  But, the kids are loving VBS.  Hannah talked about it alot today and Ethan crashed for over 3 hours, so I know he's having a great time!  Ethan and Andrew get to be in the same room so I know they are having a great time together!

One place you can find us all summer is the pool.  Hannah wakes up every day and asks to go to the "big pool"

Ethan gets a little easier each time we go and we always have alot of fun.  Ethan definitely keeps the lifeguard on her toes.  He has no fear. 

Hannah and Wes had a camp out last weekend and Hannah had so much fun.  Ethan and I joined the fun until bedtime. 

They made it in the tent until about 3:30 a.m. and then Wes' air mattress deflated so they came inside the rest of the night.  They have another camp out coming up soon and Hannah's excited!

We had 5 of our cousins come over Saturday night and had so much fun.  The kids (with a little help from Wes and I) consumed 60 nuggets from McDonalds. I really don't know how my sister feeds these kids 3 meals a day every day!

Have I mentioned on my blog yet that we are moving?  We are moving to another neighborhood in town and we've been packing up.  We are excited and close this Thursday on our new house.  Wes borrowed a trailer from a friend and his 4-wheeler to move the trailer around the back yard.  Ethan was in heaven!

Ethan has loved having this new piece of large machinery around! He's such a boy!

We are having so much fun this summer and are excited to start making memories in our new home!
