Just our life...

Well, nothing too exciting is happening at the Tyler’s lately. Wesley got back from snow skiing safely and Shelly enjoyed a long weekend at her parents house while he was gone. I always get spoiled when I’m with my mom, so I enjoy it. She’s gone a little nuts buying things for Hannah, and I don’t mind that either! We pretty much sewed all weekend. My mom can sew and fix anything, so I had a list full of things to make while I was with her! I actually enjoy sewing, I’m just not sure I have the patience to make it a hobby.

I have a shower coming up in March with my parents’ friends and I can’t wait to fill Hannah’s room with everything she is showered with! We need to start filling the dresser that Wesley made! Wesley is heading to Houston (skipping the shower festivities) the same weekend I’ll be at my parents’ for his brother’s bachelor party. Wesley is the best man, so he was in charge of planning it. Hopefully it will turn out OK and he will behave. :)

Well, like I said, nothing too exciting. I think we are in the process of the “calm before the storm.” I know once Hannah gets here our world will turn upside down for a few weeks. I’m praying for a baby that comes out sleeping through the night. Ha! Is that even possible?

Check up

As you can see, Wesley finished Hannah’s dresser, and it looks AMAZING!! I am so blessed to have a husband who is so handy. I can’t wait to fill the drawers with onesies, bows, socks and booties!

I had my monthly check up today and everything continues to look wonderful. We are so thankful. I got to hear little Hannah’s heartbeat, which makes me melt every time I hear it. I had some routine blood work done and am prayerful that the results will turn out OK. It’s to check for gestational diabetes. Also, I have a rare blood type which requires me to get RhoGAM shots every 3 months to prevent from my blood mixing with the baby’s blood and causing negative antibodies. (That’s the way I understand it, anyway). So, I had to get that shot again today and was also tested to make sure that no negative antibodies have already mixed with the baby’s. They didn’t really say what the result would be if they had, but I’m just praying that they haven’t!

I’m approaching my third trimester and I’m hoping it’s as good as the second one was. I’ve felt great the past few months and just hope I keep feeling OK. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for Me, Wesley and Hannah through this journey. It feels like we still have forever to go, so keep praying!

Busy, busy!

Well, Wes and I have been busy the past few weeks. Wesley finished the dresser for Hannah’s room! It looks amazing and I’ll post pictures soon. He’s so talented! I also finally found a rocking chair for her bedroom. It was quite the hunt, but I found a neutral color rocker and ottoman that will work perfectly for the room and for future kiddos. I’m starting to go through this “nesting” stage and I need everything to be completed immediately. That’s why the hunt for the chair was such an issue. It’s actually driving me crazy. Although I’m a pretty big planner even when I’m not pregnant, I’m beginning to get on my own nerves. Wesley keeps telling me that we still have 3 months to get everything done and I need to not stress about small things. I’m trying!

This weekend we had eleven 11th grade girls over for Fuel Weekend. It was so much fun, but I realized how old I’m getting when I can’t even stay awake until midnight!! They wore me out. Wesley had eleven 11th grade guys out at the lake, and he was just as tired as I was on Sunday. We’re only 25 and 26 years old – what has happened to us?

Babies, babies, babies. Well, you all know that I’m having a girl and we are naming her Hannah Kate. Most of you know that my sister is having a girl and they’ve decided on the name Marley Elizabeth. Well, my sister-in-law just found out that she’s going to have a BOY! Grayson Lane. I’m so excited about having a new niece and nephew! This summer is going to be very busy with having a newborn and making time to love on my niece and nephew like an aunt (“sissy”) should!

Wesley and I are both going to have birthdays in the next 3 weeks. Wes is going snow skiing with some guys over his birthday weekend in Colorado. He's pretty excited. We don't have plans for my birthday yet, but I'm sure we'll think of something fun to do.

I have my next doctor’s appointment on February 17. Nothing new at this appointment, except that I’ll have some routine blood work done. Beginning in March I’ll start seeing the doctor twice a month instead of just once. I’m excited about this, because that means it’s getting even closer to Hannah’s big arrival! 26 weeks and counting…..
