Matching Kiddos
A friend of mine gave Hannah and Ethan matching outfits when Ethan was born. They are just precious and I've been waiting for Ethan to grow into his so I could get some pictures.
Nobody ever told me how difficult it was to get pictures of 2 kids!
I did get some really cute ones of them individually!
The below picture makes me laugh because you can see Ethan's head about to fall over into Hannah's lap.
Love these two, and the outtakes of the photo shoot made me laugh out loud.

Big boy and something new
Well, we went to the doctor yesterday and discovered that we have a big boy! Ethan weighs 11 pounds, 8 oz (46%), and is 23 inches long (53%). I guess this is more average than big, but little Hannah has always been on the lower end of the charts, so I was surprised that Ethan seemed so much bigger.
For my records, I wanted to record a few of his stats with bullet points. Some may be repetitive from my last blog post. At 2 months, Ethan is:
- in size 1 diapers
- newborn-3 month clothes
- loving ceiling fans and people's faces
- cooing a lot
- enjoying tummy time and trying hard to roll
- taking most naps in his swing
- nursing every 3 hours during the day
- starting to suck on his fingers
- taking a pacifier (when he decides he wants it)
- going to sleep at 10:00 every night, waking around 7:30, but still waking twice to eat in the night
- being swaddled at bedtime
- bald like an old man
What a fun, easy baby he has been so far! I hope he continues to be so happy.
In other news, today I took Hannah to the movies for the first time. She's been once before with Aunt Jenn, but today was my first time to experience it with her. Whew, she exhausted me. It wasn't a very engaging movie for her age, so she got bored pretty quickly. I had to bribe her to stay in her seat a few times and when I ran out of bribes, we headed out the door.
We lasted about 45 minutes. We may wait a while before we try again.
I've finally charged my battery for my camera, so this should be the last post with such bad quality pictures!

2 Months!
My growing boy is 2 months old. It's hard to believe!
Ethan is awake so much more these days and he's just soaking in the world around him. He's really interested in ceiling fans, people's faces and objects in front of him. His bouncy seat has lights on it and he seems to really like those.
We've graduated from newborn diapers (at 6 weeks) and he's about to not be able to fit in newborn clothes. WHAT?! Wasn't I JUST in the hospital having him? Wasn't I just in the hospital having Hannah!? Having children makes your life pass by much quicker.
Ethan fell in love with his pacifier this past weekend. YAHOO! Hannah's pacifier was my best friend (and hers) so I really wanted him to take one. It was tough, but I think we've succeeded!
At 6 weeks Ethan started flashing some smiles. He won't do it on demand yet, but if we tickle his little neck or cheek he'll give us one most of the time. So sweet and his face just lights up.
Ethan is so content wherever we are and whatever we are doing. He literally only fusses a little when he's trying to fall asleep. And it's a stretch to say he "fusses." It's more like a little whimper and we just swaddle him up and give him his pacifier and he's out a couple of minutes later. When he's hungry at night he just wakes up and makes noises. Although, a couple of weeks ago I forgot to turn his monitor on when I put him to bed and when I was finally awaken by a NOT happy baby he had a little tear. It made me so sad and I haven't forgotten the monitor since then! I know it's such a blessing to have another easy baby and I don't take that for granted, at all!
We have his 2 month appointment tomorrow and I'll be posting his stats, so stay tuned!
(All these pictures were taken on my phone, so they arent' great quality)

Special Visitors
Most of you know that Wesley and his family have participated in Volunteer Christian Builders ever since Wesley was little. Well, this week is the annual trip. Unfortunately we couldn't make the trip this year. It's in Shreveport and Wesley's dad, grandpa and grandma stopped by on their way.
Wesley's grandparents are some of the kindest people I know. They have excepted me as one of their own grandchildren and they love the Lord and are so faithful to serve Him. We really enjoyed visiting with them, and they enjoyed meeting their new great-grandson!
As a woman I don't think I've ever understood the importance of carrying on a family name. After seeing these 4 together, it was a little more clear.
You could tell that Papaw was beaming with pride!
And on another note, Wes surprised me this weekend with a little gift. I have several willow tree figurines that I decorate with around our house. Well, he added to my collection by getting me a little girl figure.
James and Jenn got me the family of 3 with the baby for my birthday when I was pregnant with Hannah. Now that Ethan is here we needed to complete our family. Looks like a complete family to me!

More Firsts
This week Ethan started flashing us some smiles. This is the best I've captured on camera, but this morning he woke up SO HAPPY and was just smiling over and over. LOVE it!
We also tried his first bottle today. I have something things coming up where I'll have to be away from Ethan for more than our 3 hour feeding schedule, so I thought it was time to make sure he could take a bottle. He did good, but was a bit slow. Hannah GULPED her first bottle. But, at least I know he'll be able to survive for a few hours away from me, I'm just not sure I'm ready to leave him!

Blog Design
A couple of years ago I bought a digital scrapbooking program. I needed a hobby I could do while Hannah was napping. I've so enjoyed it, but I haven't used it for scrapbooking. One thing I love using it for is blog design. My friend Carrie did my blog design a while back and I've loved it so much that I haven't wanted to change it. It's still fun for me to design blog headers, though. So, if anyone is interested, I'm going to give this blog design away to someone.
And if you have little ones, I'll include these for your sidebar....
And If I remember, I'll include this signature for you. This isn't guaranteed, because it's been forever since I've done it and I don't know if I remember how!
And if I'm really good and remember how to do a blog divider, I'll include this little divider for you, too!
This has just been something fun for me and honestly I spent so much time napping at the end of my pregnancy and since I've had Ethan that I haven't played with my program in a while, but I started playing this weekend and now I'm hooked again!
The first person to comment and say they want this design gets it.
Here are some other fun ones I've done for friends recently.

All of my designs kind of look the same. I'm not too creative. ha!

Big Announcement!
How many people clicked on this blog thinking you were going to get pregnancy announcement news? Well, YOU'RE RIGHT!!
Fortunately, it's not me. :) Aunt Jenn and Uncle James are expecting their first baby!!
Most of you know, or can tell from the above picture, that James is Wesley's brother. We are SO THRILLED to be getting a new baby in the Tyler family. It will be our first niece or nephew on the Tyler side. We can't wait to start spoiling their little munchkin.
Congrats, James and Jennifer. Can't wait to meet your little one in February!!

Comparisons
Alot of you have already seen both of these pictures either on facebook or a blog a loooong time ago. And I know I've already posted a couple of comparison pictures, but I wanted to post both of these. Here is a picture of me and little man.
And here is one of me and my little princess when she was Ethan's age.
Maybe the same lips? Poor Ethan is so bald!
What do you think?
