Our Easter morning started early, as does every Sunday morning. Our Sunday School class starts at 8:15, so for us to be out the door by 8:00 is tough on any day when you have a late sleeper.
Since there was no way we were going to hunt easter eggs before church, we headed to Aunt Jenn and Uncle James' house after church for a fabulous lunch and a little Easter egg hunt for Hannah.
Jenn had a little basket for Hannah with goodies, of course. Hannah loved it all and especially loved all the treats Jenn hid in the eggs. Thanks Aunt Jenn and Uncle James for making Easter so special for all of us!
We even managed to get a decent family picture. Hannah would NOT let go of her basket from Aunt Jenn for the picture, though.
After LONG, much needed naps for all of us, we headed to Aunt Christie and Uncle Justin's house for more food and another egg hunt.
Hannah actually did better at this egg hunt, as opposed to wanting to open EVERY egg right after she found it at Aunt Jenn's. Of course, we did have to take a break and try out the goodies.
I'm pretty sure Hannah consumed more candy on Sunday than she did actual food. Oh well, once a year can't hurt, right?!
Although all the Easter egg hunts and family time was great, we try to keep focus on the main purpose of Easter, and that's of course that we serve a Living God that is risen. Although Hannah is too young to really understand the concept of that, or the concept of the Easter bunny, our prayer is that each year we can focus more on the real reason for Easter.
Hope everyone had a blessed day.
