Hannah Kate!

Well, we've decided on the name Hannah Kate Tyler for our new little addition coming in May. We can't wait to meet her. She's been moving like crazy and it's so much fun feeling her! It's truly amazing to have a life created inside of you. What a blessing! Below are some pictures of what we've been doing the past couple of weeks. Wesley is building a dresser for Hannah to match the crib, I painted her room pink, we've put the crib together and I've been growing :) It's taking Wesley a while to get used to our new pink room. He walks in there just about every day and says "wow, this is really pink." Oh, if he only knew what the future holds :) We are getting things done really early....partly because I'm anxious and a huge planner, but mainly because we are going to be so busy the next couple of months! We also found out that my sister is going to have a little GIRL! We are so excited that Hannah will have a little girl cousin that will be only days younger or older than her and that lives just across town.

2008

2008 has been an exciting year, and below are some pictures to reflect. We finished remodeling our house, spent countless weekends at the lake with friends and family, went snow skiing, decided to have a baby, spent time with family, found out our baby will have 2 new cousins, made wonderful new friends, celebrated 4 years of marriage, found out we will be getting a new sister in law, and we have seen the Lord work in our lives like we never thought possible. We are welcoming 2009 with open arms and can’t wait to see what is in store for us.

It's a GIRL!!

That's right. In a few short months we'll have a precious baby girl! We are tickled pink and can't wait to meet her. Now she just needs a name! Any suggestions? Below are some pictures of the ultrasound we had today. It shows her laying down and also a picture of her foot, which looks quite large :) 10 of you were right on the gender poll - way to go! Above all else, she looks healthy and is definitely very mobile - Praise the Lord!!

Being sick is no fun!

Yes, I've been sick since Sunday morning, and it's not fun!! I've had a stomach bug that I can't seem to get rid of. Since I'm pregnant, there's not a whole lot I can do about it. I talked to my doctor and since I'm not able to hold anything down, I had to go to the ER this morning to get an IV so I could get some fluids back in me. We got to see the baby, but unfortunately the ER doctor couldn't tell us the sex! Apparently he doesn't do it often enough to be able to interpret ultrasounds. I was so bummed, but we only have 6 more days, so I guess I'll have to sit tight a little longer. The good thing is that the baby is doing great, despite having nothing to live on the past few days! I was so worried, so seeing that baby kicking like crazy was a huge comfort. I've been feeling the baby move so much lately and it's such an amazing feeling! Wes even got to feel him/her last night and it was incredible. What a joy this little baby is to us already! I don't know if we can wait until May to meet this little one!! Well, tune back in soon so you can find out the gender! I'll be updating next week after we find out.

Boy or Girl?

I’ve posted a poll on the left side of my blog to see what everyone thinks Baby Tyler’s gender is. Be sure to participate! It won’t be long until we know. Below is a picture of my baby bump. It’s not much yet, but it’s definitely there. I’m 17 weeks now, so hopefully I’ll start feeling the baby kick soon. I can’t wait to feel those little feet inside me!

Wesley and I wanted a “theme” verse to pray for our baby’s life and we’ve decided on Philippians 1:10-11: “For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation – the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ – for this will bring much glory to God.”

Although we are praying many things for our baby, we are most importantly praying for his or her salvation and relationship with the Lord. Please join us in praying.

Don’t forget the poll – boy or girl?!

Update

Well, today was my monthly checkup. The sound of that little heartbeat is more and more amazing each time we hear it! My doctor seems to think it's a girl based on the heartrate, but who knows how accurate he is! We are open to whatever the Lord gives us and are just praying for a healthy baby either way. December 23 is my next appointment and assuming Baby Tyler cooperates, we should know the sex at that time. What an amazing Christmas gift!

In other news, Wesley bought a new camera this weekend. He assures me that we'll never have to take professional photos of our baby, because he'll be able to do it with this camera. We'll see! All I know is that the camera looks pretty professional! Below is a picture he took of our sweet Jersey Girl.
