Meeting the Fam!

Hannah had a big weekend over Memorial Weekend. Two of her aunts and her uncle came to meet her and Grandma and Grandpa Tyler came for another visit. Funny how all of a sudden everyone wants to come see "us." :) Here are some pictures of Hannah meeting everyone!

Flowers!

My dad brought Hannah flowers today and she loved them! :) It reminded me of a picture I took while I was pregnant...

Updates

As my last post mentioned, I got to celebrate my first Mother's Day! It was wonderful and I am so thankful for my healthy baby girl. My dad was in town and brought crawfish. SO YUMMY! Perfect meal for a perfect day. Wesley bought me some perfume, which I really needed. I'm so proud of him for remembering it was Mother's Day and helping make it so special!

We had Hannah's weight check on Wednesday and she's back up to birth weight. YAY! The doctor was very happy with that. They said they shoot for babies being back up to their birth weight by 2 weeks, and Hannah did it with 2 days to spare! Needless to say, she's a wonderful eater. I'm so grateful for that.

Since my mom has been here we've been doing lots of crafty projects. One project that I've really enjoyed is making tutu bow holders. It's so much fun and I think I'm going to start selling them. Surely there is a market out there, right? I can't be the only girl that wants something so girly. :) Here is a picture of my creation.

I guess that's it. Things are going really well with Hannah. She's so perfect and we love her more and more each day. We feel like our hearts are going to explode with joy and love.

Hannah's Arrival!

Well, Hannah decided to make her debut a little early. I was due on May 17 and she decided to come 16 days early, on May 1. It was perfect! Here's my story....

My water broke at 7:00 a.m. and I was home by myself. Wesley had just left the house to head to work. I called him and said: "I think my water just broke." Since I'm always joking about things like this, it took me a while to convince Wesley that I wasn't kidding! We didn't rush, but we finished packing our bags and getting ready to head to the hospital, and of course called our families, who were also somewhat shocked at Hannah's early arrival. We got to the hospital around 8:00 a.m. and we had our precious girl at 4:22 p.m. She weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. and was 18.5 inches long.

I can't believe all of this happened over a week ago! I'm really scared to blink, because time has already gone by so fast. It's hard to believe that 10 months ago this little angel didn't even exist, and now she's a living, healthy baby girl. God is so amazing and we are so grateful for his blessings.

Because of Hannah's early arrival, I got to celebrate Mother's Day!! I'll be posting about those festivities soon....stay tuned!
