Home again, home again

Whew, what a summer this has been. Wesley has been working out of town for the past 8 WEEKS. No need to adjust your screen. You  read that right. Wesley has been gone ALL SUMMER LONG! But I am thrilled to say...he's BAAAAACK. I'm so glad to have my hubby back!

While he was gone, Hannah and I had lots of fun times, but we sure missed him. I took Hannah to a mall with a playground for kids. She loved it. Until she figured out that she wasn't completely barricaded in. Then all she wanted to do was escape! She's a mess.

Aunt KK and Grayson came to visit, and we had so much fun taking them to the zoo.

While they were here we also went to Discovery Science Center with Carter, London & Marley. The babies were still a bit too young, but they seemed to enjoy themselves and it definitely wore them out.

I am overjoyed to have my hubby back, and Hannah's face lit up when she saw him!  I wish I could explain to her that he's not just here for the weekend this time....he's staying!!

My Bestie

If you have ever had a conversation with me, you've heard me talk about Ashley. If you've read this blog for a while, I'm sure you've seen me mention her several times.  I love her. She's like a sister to me.

We were roommates in college and we've experienced life together.  I got engaged while we lived together, so she was there for all the planning.

A year later she was engaged and I heard all about her excitement, too!

When I got pregnant, Ashley heard everything about it, all the time.  My fears, my excitement, everything. I'm pretty sure she thought she was pregnant because of how much we talked about it!

Now, it's my turn to go through Ashley's 1st pregnancy with her!! I am thrilled to pieces and couldn't be more happy for her.

Congrats, Ash & Kevin. Can't wait to meet little baby Johnson!!!

The Beach

This weekend Wes and I headed to the beach for a much needed, relaxing weekend. It was so great!  We headed up Friday night, WITHOUT Hannah. It was my first night ever away from her, and can you believe I survived it?!

My parents drove up Saturday and brought her back to us.  Hannah LOVED the beach and I was so glad to see my baby girl.

She loved playing in the sand and playing with her beach toys.

She also loved stealing mommy's beach chair!

It was so fun watching her experience something new.

I would say an annual beach trip is a must!

Brush 'em, Brush 'em, Brush 'em

Hannah is starting to get a mouth full of teeth. She has 2 on the bottom, 2 on the top, and 3 making their way in.  With all those teeth, we decided it was time to start brushing!

Miss Independent has decided it's more fun to do it herself.  I try my best to get a few little good brushes in  before handing it off for her to "finish."

I think she does a good enough job, for now!

The more snacks she eats like this, though....

The better we'll have to start brushing!

Cuteness

I stole my mom's camera to see what pictures she had on it.  Since she doesn't have a blog or anything, I end up not seeing most of the pictures she takes, but she's always got her camera.

All of these just capture a little bit of Hannah's precious personality.

Hannah is such an angel and I just love this little girl more and more each day.

Really, does it get any sweeter than this?

Life is good!

Happy Birthday, Grayson!

This weekend we went to Aunt KK and Big B's house for Grayson's 1st birthday party! It was so much fun and I can't believe our nephew is already one!  These babies are growing too fast.  It was hot, but we just put on our shades and we were good to go.

Grayson's party was a rock star theme. My sister-in-law, Kayla, totally out did herself. Everything looked awesome!

He wasn't too sure about his cake, but managed to dig in and get a few bites!

Grayson got some cool shoes for his birthday from his Aunt Dana & Uncle Jon. Hannah decided to try them on with her rambo headband.

The shoes were a little big and she picked up her feet so high to take a step. It was so funny and my mom caught this picture in mid-step. So precious!!

What a fun weekend. Happy Birthday, Graysonator! We love you!
