HANNAH IS HERE!

Well, as you can tell from the pictures posted below of me and my sister, Wesley is definitely the photographer in the family, but here is my attempt of taking pictures of Hannah's room :)

Destructive Dog

So, some of you may know that our sweet puppy,Jersey, is extremely terrified of thunderstorms.We’re pretty sure when she was about 1 lightening struck really close to her, because up until then, storms never seemed to bother her. Well, we have figured out that the only place she seems to calm down during a storm is in her crate, inside a car. Strange, I know. And actually, we’re not really sure if she calms down, but it at least gives us some peace and quiet inside the house. I really think sometimes she’s going to die of a heart attack because her heart is beating so fast during storms. Nothing we do comforts her.

Anyway, we went to Houston to a few weekends ago and forgot her crate there. We figured we could survive without it for 6 weeks until Wesley's parents come to Tyler. We were wrong. Last night we had a horrible storm and nothing to do with her when she woke up so scared at 2:00 a.m. We racked our brains and the only thing we could come up with was to put her in the garage and put a “barrier” in front of the door leading to the kitchen so she didn’t scratch it to pieces. Of course, this was after we tried putting her in the car with her pillow and after 2 minutes of being in there, she laid on the horn for about 15 seconds, which is a long time for a blaring horn at 2:00 in the morning in an enclosed garage. Wes put up the barrier and sat in the laundry room for a few minutes to see if it would work. It didn’t seem like the best choice, but in the middle of the night and in need of sleep, we just left her. This morning, we woke up to find the “barrier” shredded to pieces. So much for trying to save the box to the new high chair! Oh yeah, and the rug used to say “welcome”...now it’s just a shredded mess. On top of all of this, we are dog sitting a friend’s dog, which is whose crate you see in the background. We debated on whether or not to put Jersey in it, but since that dog weighs 6 lbs, we didn’t think our 28 lb. dog would fit too comfortably.



Fun times in the Tyler household. I guess this is just preparing us for the 2:00 adventures we are about to have with Hannah! Don't worry, we won't leave her in the garage unattended :)

More Showers!

My sister and I both had our Sunday School baby showers this week. My mom was able to make the trip to come to both since they were scheduled in the same week. Once again, Hannah was showered with a ton of stuff. 1 month from today!!!

This weekend we went to the children's park and took some pregnant pictures of me and my sister. Just thought I would share.

Wedding Fun

This weekend was Wesley’s brother’s wedding. Everything was wonderful and the wedding went great! The reception was a dinner and a dance, so it was also a fun date night for Wes and I! I someone managed to get NO pictures of the couple together, but below are some other pictures from the wedding. Also, tagged on to the bottom is a picture of the twin bed Wesley built. Once again, so crafty! He amazes me.

Fun times at Sissy's house!

Since I don’t have pictures of my own kids to plaster on my blog, I figured I’d post pictures of the next best thing – my ADORABLE niece and nephew! This week I baby sat them while Wes was gone and we painted pictures. Just thought I would share a picture of the fun. I thought they would stay entertained longer than they did. I guess no matter what a child is doing, it doesn’t hold their attention for long!
